New York Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul Endorses Dia Carabajal for New York State Assembly

Auburn, NY - Today Dia Carabajal, Democratic Nominee for New York State Assembly in the 126th district announced that her campaign is endorsed by Kathy Hochul, Lieutenant Governor of New York State.

"Dia Carabajal is the right person to represent Central New York in the State Assembly,” said Hochul. “Her diligence and advocacy to secure Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) funding for Auburn, as well as her work across the aisle to protect the Owasco Lake Watershed, are exactly what the region needs right now. Dia has worked successfully with various stakeholder groups and will bring her expertise to Albany to deliver results for Central New York. I’m pleased to endorse Dia Carabajal for State Assembly"

Lt. Governor Hochul is President of the NYS Senate and serves as Chairperson for the Regional Economic Development Councils and NYS Women’s Suffrage 100th Anniversary Commemoration Commission. Additionally, she co-chairs the NYS Heroin and Opioid Abuse Task Force and Community College Councils. The Lieutenant Governor builds support for the Governor’s initiatives including the minimum wage increase, paid family leave, ethics reform and infrastructure investment.

“Lieutenant Governor Hochul has a proven track record of delivering for Central New Yorkers,” said Carabajal. “she’s consistently on-the-ground across the state for small business, essential workers and healthcare professionals. Her statewide leadership is crucial as we recover from the Covid-19 pandemic. I’m proud to have her support and I look forward to working with her in Albany.”

Dia Carabajal is also endorsed by U.S. Senators Bernie Sanders (VT,) Charles Schumer (NY) and Kirsten Gillibrand (NY), as well as NYS Comptroller Tom DiNapoli. In addition, Carabajal is endorsed by numerous unions, organizations and residents of Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland and Onondaga Counties.
